From Our Cupping Lab:
The Kolla Bolcha is named after the farmers cooperative from which it hails, one which has established a reputation for what our importing partner, Red Fox Coffee Merchants, describes as “immaculate processing.” What does this mean for the end cup? Smooth and balanced, sweet and clean, the flavors and aromas presented by the Lot 6 are especially genuine tastes of place. This is true of washed coffees in general, sure, but the devil is in the details, and the quality of work being done by the Kolla Bolcha cooperative is evident in the cup. With clarity and a soft sweetness, the Lot 6 presents us with notes of cantaloupe, hibiscus, milk chocolate, and nectarine.
